Looking Through a New Lens

Photographing Fireworks

Last year I read an article that taught me how to photograph fireworks. This was one of the best photography tips that I ever read. I used this tip to photograph the 4th of July fireworks in Manteo, North Carolina. Going to Manteo and watching the fireworks is a tradition that my family does every year and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to practice my photography skills. I learned that it took a lot of patience and a little bit of practice but by the end of the fireworks display, I had captured some really great images. While I took these pictures in a rural setting, I would really love to try my hand at photographing fireworks in an urban setting. It requires very different skills and it would be a nice challenge.
